Description & Technical information
This type of chair is sometimes known as a Bank of England chair, although there is no evidence that such chairs were ever supplied to the bank. Most examples feature only a low back finishing at arm height. Some rarer examples have a higher upholstered back, but examples with an extended back incorporating a second tier with a second splat in mahogany are very rare indeed.
