Description & Technical information
A fine early 18th century gilt gesso mirror retaining the original shaped and bevelled mirror plate within a moulded and leaf carved frame, having leaf carved shaped lobed corners and a shaped cresting carved with acanthus leaf and scrolls centered by an acanthus plume. The shaped and leaf carved apron with two brass candle arms and sockets.
Note: The mirror retains virtually all the original gilding and its original shaped and bevelled mirror plate. The brass candle arms and sockets are of later date.
