Solid beech and mahogany veneer, solid beech legs, surface slightly stained and repolished, brass fittings, legs with brass cuffs, top reveneered, excellent condition.

The "Haberfeld" table, designed by Adolf Loos, was round and had stabilising struts, which ran to the leg opposite. In the oval variation, these struts are placed to form a triangle at their intersection. In order to make use of the space that had been "wasted" for aesthetic reasons, Loos later replaced the struts with a solid oval (see also Salon Kniže, Paris, 1927). Loos used the round table for the first time in 1902 for the residence of Dr. Hugo Haberfeld.
