Presentation:
The Bertrand de Lavergne gallery has been established in the Louvre des Antiquaires since 1985, presenting Chinese export porcelain, Chinese art and Japanese porcelain from the 16th to the 18th century. It is one of the few French galleries to specialise in high quality Qing period Chinese snuff bottles. Bertrand Lavergne, the director, is a member of the ‘Chambre Nationale des Experts Spécialisés’ and the ‘Syndicat National des Antiquaires’. He is also the founder and general secretary of the ‘Association des Spécialistes de la Céramique de collection’. He belongs to the ‘International Chinese Snuff Bottle Society’ based in Baltimore, Maryland and the ‘European Association of Chinese Snuff Bottle Collectors’.
