Description & Technical information

designed by: Josef Hoffmann, Vienna, around 1920
executed by: Wiener Werkstätte

These two centrepieces are of outstanding quality. They can be dismantled into a number of parts and are thus relatively easy to clean. It is interesting that when centrepieces and other large objects were made from a single material it was not customary for them to be made in pieces. Despite an intensive search of the WW archives at the MAK, we have not been able to find the design drawing for these exceptional objects.
