Stanislas LEPINE (1835-1892)
He was Corot’s pupil between 1860 and 1875. The impressionists recognize him as a very important painter and invite him to their exhibition in 1874. He spent his life discovering the vallée de la Seine, he painted during his whole life with movement and poetry.
A lot of his paintings are exposed in prestigious Museums as the National Gallery in London, the Orsay Museum, Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, and the Art Institute of Chicago.
