Impermanence and death play a large role in Thomas Lerooy's drawings and bronze sculptures. The symbols he uses often refer to seventeenth-century Vanitas still-lifes, altough he builds his compositions around a variety of icons from the history of art. Themes such as desire and death are represented with macabre humour and absurdity.
