Asia Week New York

07/03/2012

UNFORTUNATELY coinciding with Maastricht but well worth a visit if you can manage it, is Asia Week New York from March 16 to 24, a collaborative Asiafest involving dealers, five auction houses and 17 museums.

Many of the three dozen or so dealer exhibitions are of the highest quality so while it may be invidious to cherry pick, one my favourites is always the show of Indian, Gandharan and Himalayan sculptures mounted by the doyen of the field, UK dealer John Eskenazi, at Adam Williams Fine Art, 24 East 80th Street.
