ANOTHER grand opening on Quai Voltaire on the evening of September 12 will be the inaguration of the new 180 sq m. Galerie Chenel which after seven years on Rue de Beaune moves around the corner to set up shop at 3 Quai Voltaire.
A family business founded 13 years ago, Galerie Chenel has become known for its archaeological sculpture in an unconventional and modern setting, a look that met with approval and good sales at Masterpiece.
The Chenels hope the formula proves equally successful when they make their debut at the Paris Biennale (where they will show this Ancient Egyptian limestone head of a woman) at the Grand Palais from September 14 to 23.
