Ronny Van De Velde
In the 1970s Philippe Van Snick decided to limit his palette to ten colours and his choice of forms to rectangles, squares and cubes. Minimal visual resources, simple media and clear pigments are all deployed to focus on the purity of painting. Each work is a autonomous and at the same time a part of the whole. When the works are shown in a space, the place of each work and its relation to the other works are very important.
