E 250) A wedge shaped standing figure representing an ancestor. The armless body is presented with wide shoulders supported on split legs. The center of the chest offers a large bi-conical hole through the abdomen. The face is well defined in a schematic fashion showing the nose set between the eyes and over a slit mouth. The face and torso show tattoo marks as well as the eyebrows being well indicated. Bering Strait, Alaska. Punuk culture. Circa 600-900 AD. 6,4 cm.
