The large central garnet carved to form a naturalistic shell, surrounded by vari-shaped garnet cabochons within a border of cushion and old cut diamonds, the head, feet and tail set with pearls, the feet and tail with small ruby accents and the head with diamond accents, the body formed of chased and engraved gold to create shell and scale details, all close back set, the approximate diamond weight being 1.50cts
