CEILING LIGHT FOR THE VIENNA METROPOLITAN RAILWAYS
designed by: Otto Wagner, Vienna, around 1900
Being the most important Austrian urban planner, Otto Wagner was put in charge of the construction of the Vienna metropolitan railway system, which he carried out from 1894 to 1901. He was also responsible for the design of the trains. This ceiling light was designed as part of the interior decoration for the cars.
