The cover with a similarly shaped reserve engraved with a monogram below a coronet with snake and crossed-branches crest, to an engraved ground of radiating lines, the polished border engraved with a stiff leaf band, the lid opening on a flush hinge at the three-quarter point, similarly decorated to sides and base.
