Description & Technical information

Each hung with an old pear shaped diamond below square-cushion cut diamond tops and smaller similar diamond in between.

Although by appearance these earrings look to date circa 1880 or earlier, they are in fact made in platinum. Platinum became a popular material for jewellers from the late 19th century. They are likely to have been a transitional design and make.
