Large oval snuff box in gold of several tones. The hinged cover is guilloche and adorned with a central medallion representing a trophy of musical instruments and doves. The motif stands out against an amati gold background. The perimeter is decorated with laurel garlands and interlacing. On the bottom the same guillochages are repeated and this one is decorated with a central medallion representing a trophy decorated with a globe, a compass and other scientific symbols. The box consists of several panels: four guilloche panels and four medallions with trophies of quivers, flowers and musical instruments.
