Description & Technical information
characterized him. In this series of small paintings sometimes designed as triptych, one can find reminiscences of the Icebergs series, dated
from the same years: pictorial layer molded with a knife, recurring use of black and white, longitudinal forms sometimes collided... It is notably the case in our "Nouvelles Impressions n°15", in which the
surface is inhabited by wonderful blue and red-tinted turmoils. Here, Riopelle signs a little jewel which magnetic power equals the one of his larger creations.
