A fine lime spatula decorated at the top with the carved head of a crocodile. The sculptural quality of the animal as well as the fine workmanship are remarkable.

Admiralty Islands, Bismarck Archipelago, P.N.G., Melanesia. Wood with a fine dark patina of age and use along with an important lime and betelnut encrustation to the blade.
