Description & Technical information
Formed of three curved panels in gold, with zodiac symbols, figures and letters in a distinctive pierced and raised geometric patterns.
Dotted with small gem accents including opal, tourmaline, emerald and diamonds, onyx batons between each panel housed in pierced gold cagework, the first panel from the box pierced with a seated figure looking up at a palm tree, the second panel with archer shooting an arrow piercing a cockerel, a scorpion to the right, the third panel with a seated figure reaching up to a leaf, zodiac symbol for scorpio, the archer possibly for sagittarius, letters within the panels possibly C, E, M, W, N and C and variously the number 3, the date 1927 and initials, possibly CS, worked within the design to the underside of the clasp, together with a fitted case.
