Having four rectangular panels each with a different emblematic scene representing the seasons; putti collecting flowers and making a garland for spring; putti at harvest making sheaves for summer; putti-satyrs carousing in a bacchanalian manner for autumn and collecting firewood and making a fire for winter, each scene within a frame with bold scrolls and flowerheads, spaced by four oblong dividing panels of openwork scrolling foliate design and each centred by a different female term, French assaymark and workshop mark for B & L.
