The outer gold case engraved with foliate scrolls and flowerheads, housing within a cushion cut diamond line cross.

Of Latin form coronet claw set with eleven diamonds, the largest to centre, open set in silver and gold and hung from a tapered gold suspension loop engraved per the gold outer cross, this of square section, the engraved decoration upon a cross-hatched ground and with bright cut line borders, polished finish to the back, the top panel opening on a hinge at the bottom end, dedication inscription within: 'RVH.EFH 1874'
