Description & Technical information

The gold navette shaped links with S scroll centres, spaced by facetted round beads, the links and end ring stamped variously with the 18ct gold marks for Cairo, the gold standard Ibis mark and the newly introduced date letter (started in 1916).


Being occupied by the British at this point the hallmark stamps were made in England, the date letters appear to follow the Birmingham date cycle at this point and up until 1940.
