A famille rose deep oval tureen, cover and stand painted with sprays of flowers, with plumed lady handles and a coronal knop after Meissen forms.
This is a fine example of this rare shape, brightly enamelled and in excellent condition. The elaborate handles of faces with plumed headdresses and the crown-form knop were originally created at Meissen and are found on European tureens of this period.
