Description & Technical information
The pieces from the 511 series, which includes a desk, chairs, armchairs, a settee and a rocking chair, are amongst the most elegant Jugendstil furniture ever produced by Gebrüder Thonet. Even today it has not been possible to determine the designer. The most likely would be Marcel Kammerer. It was certainly not Josef Hoffmann since at this time he was accepting commissions from the competition: J. &. J. Kohn.
