Description & Technical information

When his friend and sometime lover Jared French and his wife Margaret bought a summer house in the town of Hartland in Vermont, Paul Cadmus was given his own house on the property, and the present sheet may have been drawn at around that time. In later years, after the Frenches had settled to Rome, the Vermont house was taken back from Cadmus and given to Jared’s Italian lover.
