On this double gold ring, set with two intaglios showing special scenes.
On the left, a satyre is holding a bunch of grapes with the left hand, and a pedum in the right. He is advancing right, with an erected phallus. The red colour of the stone refers to the erotic meaning of this buccolic subject.
On the right, a female figure is holding on the right hand a vessel with fruits, and ear of wheat on the left one.
Facing each other, these two characters create a beautiful balanced composition. The union of these two figures symbolizes prosperity and good luck in both wealth and love.
