Dimension 2.1 x 1.6 x 0.4 cm (0⁷/₈ x 0⁵/₈ x 0¹/₈ inches)

A crane faces right, holding a fleur de lys (lily flower) with its left paw, symbol of purity also use for the French monarchy.
This animal may be associated with the vigilance crane, present in the same pose and style in a Napoleonic medal of 1803, but with different attributes (arme pour la paix, by Denon). 
Originally a seal, this carving was converted to a pendant later.
