Description & Technical information

Weight: 65g, each with circular top centered by stylized flowerhead to ropework border, the central section composed of a gathering of angels surrounding a god riding four horses, suspending a series of chain tassels with foliate and urn-shaped terminations, signed to the reverse, the tops detachable.
Inspired by a pair said to be from Bolsena, Italy, 4th century BC, now in the Louvre, Paris. For a similar pair by Castellani see the Museo Nazionale Etrusco di Villa Giulia, Rome.
