Literature: note: The Lapis Lazuli 'seal' left 'blank' / un-used. The exquisite miniature sculpture of the Elephant, standing upright dressed in Parade bindings of leatehr strapsa with large iron rings, she rests her trunk upon a large oval heraldic 'shield' The quality of teh thick gilt and solid cast bronze would suggest the seal was intended for a Princeley 'kunstkammer' / cabinet of curisoties.
Superb overall condition, with wonderful colour and patina.
