Galerie Ary Jan
France, Paris
Self-taught and passionate about art, Mathias Ary Jan founded his first gallery in 1997. Established for the past nine years at 32 avenue Marceau, in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, Galerie Ary Jan specialises in 19th and 20th century painting. Among the many movements that shaped this particularly fertile period in art history, the gallery places special emphasis on Orientalism, the Belle Époque, Symbolism and Post-Impressionism. The gallery regularly organises thematic and monographic exhibitions, highlighting both artists to whom it devotes in-depth research, such as Félix Ziem and Jacques Majorelle, and major figures in 19th and 20th century painting. A loyal exhibitor at BRAFA since 2010, the gallery also takes part in numerous art fairs in France and abroad.
