Van Herck-Eykelberg

Belgium, Antwerp

Van Herck-Eykelberg is an art gallery based in Antwerp, specialising in modern & post-war art. The gallery focuses on paintings, sculptures and works on paper of the late 19th and 20th century European art movements, from symbolism to surrealism, from expressionism to ZERO or CoBrA. Special attention is given to Belgian artists that were part of these movements. In the last couple of years Van Herck-Eykelberg has organised exhibitions, notably in 2019 on Walter Leblanc (1932-1986), a key artist of the European ZERO and kinetic art movements and in 2021 on Léon Spilliaert (1881-1946), a singular artist associated with the Symbolist movement. Since 2024 the gallery participates at the BRAFA in Brussels. The gallery regularly sells to museums and has dealt in significant works of art amongst others by Pierre Alechinsky, William N. Copley, Paul Delvaux, Jean Dubuffet, James Ensor, Walter Leblanc, René Magritte, Jan Schoonhoven, Léon Spilliaert, Frits Van den Berghe and Gustave Van de Woestyne.
