Description & Technical information

This silver ewer features chased and engraved decoration. Scrolling vegetal motifs including acanthus leaves, flowers and grapes cover the surface and a snake-skin design marks the handle. The neck and body bear alternating ornamented and undecorated silver panels arranged in a vertical format, and similarly around the spout in a twisted arrangement.
