788 small multi-coloured glazed ceramic plates, arranged as a mosaic depicting the tree of life, embedded in gypsum, iron frame

Excellent original condition

Gudrun Baudisch made this tree of life mosaic in her workshop Keramik Hallstatt in the 1950s. We only know of one similar mosaic, which measures 118 x 96 cm and is shown in the lobby of the "Wiener Verein” in Vienna’s third district, Ungargasse 41. It is not signed and the description reads "Lebensbaum, Trude Dina Weixler“.
