Description & Technical information
The table retains most of the original oil gilding and the original chased brass edge moulding. The underside of the platform is stamped twice ‘W. RIDDLE’.
A virtually identical example, also by William Riddle, is illustrated in ‘The Pictorial Dictionary of Marked London Furniture 1700-1840’.
