Description & Technical information

Designed and executed: Vienna, around 1905

Mahogany veneer on pine, solid beech and veneer, dyed
to rosewood and professionally repolished, hammered brass plinth, with unusual
envelope opening action, brass and iron fittings for the extension parts, excellent
condition

extendable from 120 cm to 234 cm, suitable for up to
10 persons

Round dining tables with integrated extensions are very unusual. This table has an extremely clever built-in mechanism which allows two folded extension tops to be hoisted into position using a special lifting mechanism and a vertical adjustment slide. While maintaining the table’s height at 77 cm, it can thus be extended to 234 cm and offers comfortable seating for ten people.
