Description & Technical information

The hardstone cover and base panels with light through dark brown markings and dendritic features, reeded gold rims, bow thumbpiece, the gold sides chased and engraved with a band of hunting and bird vingettes alternating diaper pattern reserves, the front with stag being pursued by hounds, the back similar but with fox quarry, a windmill and buildings beyond, the sides each with a different scene of a game type bird beside a tree bough.
