After 1906, Carl Moll commissioned Josef Hoffmann to build a villa on the Hohe Warte. This time, the building was intended entirely for Moll and his family and, unlike the first villa, he did not commission Hoffmann together with Koloman Moser.

So far, it has, however, proven been quite difficult to find any documentation of the villa’s intérieurs. Several years ago, I acquired a cabinet and a bedside cabinet from a Viennese dealer.  The cabinet is marked on the back: “Besitz Carl Moll”. Stylistically, it is possible that this piece of furniture had been designed by either J. Hoffman or K. Moser. A documentation from Hohe Warte III, volume 1906-7, p. 29, Der gedeckte Tisch, shows a very similar cabinet.
