The cover chased and engraved with a floral spray and a butterfly on a sable gold ground, with flowers and foliage set with rubies and diamonds, the sides and base chased and engraved with classical ruins, foliage, rocaille, scrolls and shells within shaped cartouches of polished gold with reeded borders, slightly raised scroll thumbpiece.
