Description & Technical information

Cigarette box entirely enamelled on a gold base. It is bordered by a wavy border decorated with small flowers and leaves. The blue enamel is punctuated with small gold squares with dots. The borders are linked together by two fluted rods. In the center on the main side a gold escutcheon set in a frame with the inscription "DE GENERE HUBA" suggesting that this piece belongs to the Hungarian family of the same name. The blazon represents a calf pierced by an arrow. The opening is strewn with small diamonds. Very fine work.
