The characterful face with shaggy fur set with lines of rose cut diamonds, pyrope garnet bead eyes, naturalistically enamelled to nose and the lolling tongue, hanging below a hinged gold scarf-collar with two bells, the head close set in silver and gold, workshop mark for Frederic Boucheron, French assaymarks for gold to the brooch fittings, later pin safety hook stamped '14K'
