Description & Technical information
The pear shaped panel below an oblique cushion panel, each pave set with circular cut diamonds with principal stone to centre and bordered by a line of calibre French cut sapphires, the pear panel with a diamond scroll surmount, all hung from a diamond bar suspension loop with sapphire lines supporting a later added tracelink chain, millegrain and collet set in platinum, French import assaymarks, principal diamonds approximately 2.00ct and 1.25ct, the remainder approximtely 5.85cts
Provenance:
Sold by order of the Executors of the Estate of Cornelia, Countess of Craven; ex lot 51, 30th November 1961, Sotheby's London.
The photograph in the catalogue shows the pendant formerly upon a sapphire line necklace, the terminals of which remain.
