Description & Technical information

Khorassan is a vast Iranian province in northwestern Iran. Mashad, its capital, has become a huge city that all year long attracts pilgrims from all over the world who come to visit the shrine of Imam Reza. It is also an important carpet center where most of the production of the province is centralized. (Sabzevar, Mood Birdjend, Semnan, and Kashmar). Talking about the old production, the three main places were Qaïn, Dorokhsh and Turshiz (now Kashmar).
