Description & Technical information
Qom and Naïn had so to say no carpet-production till the middle of the 20th century and are hardly mentioned in books till that time. In both cities patterns were then inspired by old tile-decorations and frescoes or miniatures in Safavid buidings. In the beginning they aimed to achieve the best and finest work with better materials. But as many success stories, a commercial exploitation did not favor originality and creativity. Thus, under a same name one shall discover qualities from best to worse.
