Description & Technical information
Designed by: Marcel Kammerer attr.,
Executed by: Gebrüder Thonet, model no. 42, on from 1907
This drawing-room table is amongst the most beautiful Jugendstil pieces executed by Thonet. Since Wagner student Marcel Kammerer was Thonet's head designer and there was no other well-known designer working for Thonet at that time, one can assume with a high degree of certainty that he was the designer of this table. He was inspired by one of Koloman Moser's designs – the table by Kohn, model no. 413, designed around 1900.
