Description & Technical information

Designed and executed: Vienna, around 1900

First-class Viennese cabinet making

H 111 cm, W 30/22 cm, D 25/22 cm

Solid walnut and veneer, stained and polished, surface slightly repolished, very good condition

The design of this piece strongly resembles the flower stand we offered in the TEFAF catalogue 2014 (No. 2). The form, which, for the time, is radically reduced, allows the conclusion that it is the work of the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts around 1900. The young Viennese architecture students of the time were still attached to floral designs though in a way that is both typically and graphically Viennese.
