Description & Technical information
This Ottoman sword with scabbard is elegantly decorated with engraved and repoussé silver-gilt. The hilt is covered on both sides with blooming flowers and leaves, divided along the edges by an undecorated band of silver-gilt. The scabbard features tightly scrolling leaves, framed by thin bands of raised, vertical lines. For a similar example, see Hales, p. 214, no 525.
