Description & Technical information
A gold and enamel snuffbox of shallow navette form. The lid, the ground and the sides of the box are decorated with translucent cobalt blue enameled panels revealing a guilloche pattern in waves. The surrounding of the lid is decorated with a stylized floral frieze on a matte background and enhanced with opalescent, red and green enamel. The box is decorated with alternating enamelled panels and ornaments or cassolette enhanced with red and green enamels.
