Description & Technical information

The chair once formed part of a larger set.  Five armchairs from the set, including this example, were sold either separately or as pairs by Mallett & Son.  A pair from the set was originally sold to Nancy Lancaster, owner of the influential decorating firm of Colefax & Fowler, and then subsequently repurchased and again sold by Mallett & Son in 2003.
