Description & Technical information
A fine and rare pair of late 18th century ormolu mounted white marble candle vases by Matthew Boulton, each having an ovolo shaped white marble body decorated with ormolu swags, ram's heads and loop handles joined to the perforated ormolu rim receiving a reversible lid with candle nozzle; on a waisted white marble square socle with ormolu mouldings and guilloche band.
Note: The reversible lids are restorations.
