Description & Technical information

Note: The chest retains the original brass handles. The top drawer is fitted out with compartments beneath a brushing slide.
The chest is constructed in the typical Chippendale manner using superior mahogany throughout, with laminated blocking of the feet, red wash, and transportation nail holes to the underside. Without further provenance, however, it is not possible to firmly attribute the piece to the famous London cabinet-maker.
